Rich Towards God

Text: Luke 12:19-21.

And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

Luke 12:19‭-‬21 NKJV

1. Pray that you will demonstrate wisdom by not wholly indulging in and emotionally attached to material goods.

2. Pray that you will be rich towards God, by laying up spiritual treasures of relationship with Him.

3. Pray that your loved ones will not find security in their riches on earth but their richness towards God.

4. Pray that the members of your local church will not take pride in earthly prosperity at the expense of their rich relationship with God.

5. Pray that the Christians in your nation will not be distracted by amassing wealth but concentrate on prospering towards God.
